Experiments at the iron ore landfill in Nižná Sláná

The landfill in Nižná Slaná is a consequence of the long and rich history of mining in this region. Several experiments have been carried out in the past to see if it is possible to cover the area with vegetation, but without much success. Our colleagues asked the mayor if they could test our humic acid-based product directly on site and see if there would be any reaction. A month later, some very noticeable changes were observed.

Effect of humic amendment on selected hydrophysical properties of sandy and clayey soils

In 2023, in cooperation with the Institute of Hydrology Slovak Academy of Sciences, we measured the hydrophysical characteristics of soil samples from Senné (heavy clay soil) and Plavecký Štvrtok (light sandy soil) with different content of HUMAC ® AGRO material. Very interesting results were obtained, which confirm that the examined material can affect the hydrophysical properties and thus also the water regime of soils.
